The necessity for the law was illustrated by a recent event in the Sincan district of Ankara. A motorcycle driver, identified as R.E., was caught after fleeing from a police stop order. While the driver was eventually apprehended and fined under the current law, the new proposal aims to ensure such evasion is "unthinkable" for drivers in the future.

Authorities emphasize that ignoring a stop order is a serious offense that jeopardizes public safety and the lives of law enforcement officers and civilians. They urge citizens to report such dangerous drivers to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
