Suspects Accused of Murder, Armed Robbery, and Business Shootings


Turkish authorities have arrested 42 suspects in a large

  • scale, simultaneous police operation targeting an organized crime group whose leaders are based abroad. The early morning raids were centered in Istanbul and spread across eight other provinces.


  • Coordinated Dawn Raids Across Multiple Cities


    The operations were conducted under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Police units from Istanbul's Intelligence and Organized Crime Departments led the investigation. The raids targeted addresses in the provinces of Adana, Samsun, Siirt, Kocaeli, Ankara, İzmir, Tekirdağ, and Aydın.


    Charges and Criminal Methods of the Suspects


    According to the investigation, the suspects, who were identified as members of a sophisticated organized crime syndicate, are alleged to have committed a range of serious offenses. Their methods included:



    • Wearing masks to conceal their identities.

    • Using stolen cars or motorcycles to carry out crimes.

    • Committing intentional homicide and intentional injury.

    • Engaging in threats, armed robbery, and shooting at businesses to facilitate robbery.


Ongoing Fight Against Organized Crime


Following the arrests, public prosecutor's offices have initiated formal investigations. The Minister of Interior commended the security forces for their work, emphasizing the government's determination to continue its crackdown on organized crime. The operation highlights the effectiveness of coordinated intelligence and police work in ensuring criminals are brought to justice.
