Turkish authorities have announced the results of a significant counter

terrorism operation targeting the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ). Over the past two weeks, operations across 32 provinces led to the detention of 62 suspects, with 41 subsequently being arrested by the court.

Details of the Nationwide Security Sweep

The extensive operations were coordinated by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices and the Gendarmerie's Department of Combating Terrorism (TEM). According to the Interior Ministry, the suspects were captured in a wide

ranging sweep that included major cities and provinces.

• Key locations of the raids included Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Adana, Antalya, Bursa, Diyarbakır, and Van.

Alleged Activities of the Suspects

Investigators determined that the suspects were allegedly active within the terror group's current structure. Their suspected activities, which form the basis of the ongoing investigation, include:

• Communicating with senior figures within the FETÖ organization using payphones.


• Providing financial support to organizations linked to the terrorist group.


• Engaging in propaganda activities for FETÖ through various social media accounts.

Legal Proceedings Continue

While 41 suspects have been jailed pending trial, judicial control measures have been imposed on four others. Legal processing for the remaining individuals is still underway as the terrorism investigation continues to develop.
